There are a lot of things that school doesn’t teach you. In fact, most of what you learn in school is geared toward helping you get a job after you graduate. That’s okay. But is it enough? What about the things you need to know to live a successful life?

Here are 12 things that you wish you had learned in school.

1. Don’t Be Afraid of Failure

Failure is a part of life, and it’s something that everyone experiences. School doesn’t teach us how to handle failure or how to use it as an opportunity for growth. Instead, we’re taught to fear failure and avoid risks at all costs.

But this isn’t the right approach.

We should be embracing failure rather than avoid it because when we fail, we learn important lessons about ourselves and our limits that can help us become more successful in the future.

So don’t be afraid of failure — embrace it!

Sometimes we win, sometimes we learn.

When you don’t make any mistakes anymore it means you stop growing and learning.

Use each experience as an opportunity for growth and learning instead of being scared by it.
