Absolutely spot-on, it's the nature of it in most cases... and that makes setting it up to last so difficult. Most "legacies" don't survive a century. I've seen how trusts and other planned wealth arrangements even lead to unhappy descendants, they're on constant "life-support" and don't have the incentive to work, it can be frustrating at times...
