Create Every Day
As humans, we are natural-born creators. It is in our DNA to create things that are beautiful, innovative, and unique. We live in a world of creators and consumers. They go hand in hand — one couldn’t exist without the other. And yet, it seems that most people fall into the trap of being nothing more than consumers. They consume food, entertainment, media, experiences, and material possessions without ever taking the time to create anything themselves.
Sure, consumption has its place. It’s important to take in and enjoy the fruits of other people’s creativity. But at a certain point, more consumption will no longer provide more happiness. It can even lead to feelings of discontentment and emptiness.
I guess I’ve pivoted way past this point as I’ve started to create, and most recently I’ve started to create every day.
It’s empowering.
A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life.
