I believe consciousness and life have spread much further than just on our tiny rock floating to space... hence, we are simply a small tribe of "space monkeys" not being able yet to truly explore our galactic neighbourhood. And yes, I'm fully with you for exploring space, spreading our species on other planets and embracing AI for what it is - an extension and the next logical evolutionary step of our species!
