A lot of people think that getting up early in the morning is a drag. They hit the snooze button 5–10 times before finally dragging themselves out of bed, feeling groggy and cranky the whole day.

We’ve all heard the old saying, “the early bird gets the worm.” But what does that really mean? Is it just an old wives’ tale, or is there some truth to it?

Turns out, there is!

Making a concerted effort to get up early in the morning can have a number of benefits for your mind, body, and soul. Getting up early in the morning can be a beneficial habit.

The best way to make your dreams come true is to wake up!

That’s right, getting up early can actually be good for you for a number of reasons!

  • less likely to procrastinate
  • most likely to get work done
  • mental edge over other people
  • build momentum for day ahead
  • builds discipline and good time to get extra work done or exercise
  • no interruptions, no kids, no notifications, no emails, no phone calls
  • extra 2 hours per day = 14 hours per week = 728 hours or 30 days…
