There should be a reward to convert new readers to Medium (e.g. not into Partner Program, but simply for opening an account in the first place), secondary, reward external views as well somehow, so SEO stuff will be rewarded and attract as well. OR adding a free function, adding some adds and paying the writers as well... so also external viewers would be attracted or free accounts would get access to more...
