This is so universally true... no matter if it's from a cross-cultural angle or from a multi-generational one... those who make life easier for the ones to follow usually don't get their successors in shape to keep going and growing and therefore wealth doesn't survive three generations... the first generations builds it, the second one maintains it and the third very often loses it again. Human history is this on repeat. If we can learn one thing from history it's this: We don't learn from books, but from experience!
