While I love and appreciate the math behind all this, as a European I still don't get why College education comes at such hefty price tags... wouldn't it be better to simply opt for a College abroad instead? You'd broaden your horizon, learn another language or two and multiply your earning potential multifold over all those who stay at home? Just an idea, but given any choice, I'd go for the second option every single time.
