Yeah, I miss the direct message function to connect with other writers as well. I'm mostly using Twitter and/ or LinkedIn for that. It should be in the interest of Medium to keep people on the platform as well. Other than that, Medium is a pretty decent and awesome platform to create and grow on! Wasn't aware that some countries are not eligible, that must mostly be in connection with local tax rules? I'm happy Switzerland/ Singapore are included tough.
